　　罗伯特·德尼罗很少谈论自己的私生活，现在却郑重其事地拍了一部40分钟关于已故画家父亲的纪录片，并在其中曝光了父亲与同性恋艺术家亲密的细节。据报道，德尼罗翻阅了父亲的日记，里面详细记载了老德尼罗是如何在离开妻子后，逐渐意识到自己其实是名同性恋。罗伯特在片中还讲述了忧郁症也影响了父亲在艺术上的发展。
